One of the more effective temple knight builds I would recommend being a faith/health regen build. You do faith up to 50, strength, dex and magic just up to minimums, blessed mirdan hammer +5 (it’s a halberd type weapon), adjudicator’s shield +5 and regen ring. Can use whatever miracles you want. Invest in Intel and magic power and get yuria from 1-3 for Firestorm, which kills everything. Personally I think the Lava Bow is incredibly useful for PvE, especially for Faith builds as they tend to lack both ranged abilities as well as fire damage. You don't need it (and if you're going for primarily PvP build you shouldn't waste points to use it), however it is quite handy to have around. El Psy Kongroo. The meat cleaver is traditionally buffed with Light Weapon cast with the Insanity Catalyst, especially for PvP. That is probably it’s biggest advantage over similar strength weapons. Talisman of Beasts makes Magic/Faith builds quite viable if not the default for mage casters. Royalty is not really "all that" though. All it does is come with a mana regenerating ring. Both the Crescent Falchion +1 and Blessed Mace +1 are excellent starter weapons for a Faith build (Keep in mind that Shrine of Storms part 1 also has the Adjudicator's Shield, which is vital to Faith builds), but I would also recommend going through the hell that is the second part of the Valley of Defilement (5-2 ... Clouds, water veil, warding, and cloak are all useful spells that don't rely upon having a high MAG. A little bit of offensive magic (soul arrow, etc.) also works wonders in worlds 1 + 2, even with low MAG. You may also want to consider 18 INT for three spells slots so you can use cursed weapon (see below)..
